Heritage Gardens in Bayswater is a modern, purpose
built aged care home, catering for residents with low care needs.

Gardens is owned and managed by the "Melbourne Aged Care " group.
Comfortable
leisurely living
Heritage Gardens offers residents a relaxing lifestyle
in a comfortable home-like environment. The spacious rooms are heated and fitted
with built-in robes and shelves, private ensuites, emergency call buzzers, fire
protection systems, telephone points and TV connections.
All meals are
prepared by qualified, professional catering staff in a fully functional commercial
kitchen. Residents have a choice of nutritional meals from a dietitian approved
menu. Family and friends are welcome to join residents for meals, gatherings or
parties in the private dining room.
In addition to the main spacious air-conditioned
common room and book library, each wing has a smaller, quieter comfortable lounge
for reading, thinking or quiet conversation.
Residents can also enjoy
the outdoor courtyard while reading their home-delivered newspaper, enjoying a
BBQ or taking a walk around the surrounding gardens.

The leisurely atmosphere is complimented by a spacious building
which is designed to capture natural light. The building is surrounded by pleasant
gardens creating a relaxing outdoor environment.
Heritage Gardens has
received accreditation by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to
care for 43 frail elderly residents on a permanent or respite basis.
Lifestyle
An individual activity program is created by a qualified diversional therapist
in consultation with residents and their families. Each program is designed to
help promote a fulfiling lifestyle. The lifestyle program is based on each individuals’
preferences and participation is at each resident’s discretion.
The activity
program includes; bingo, craft, games, music, entertainers, exercise, movies,
monthly outings to seasonal destinations as well as church services.
Friendly,
capable and qualified personal care staff are employed 24 hours per day. Overnight
stand up staff provide security while catering for each resident’s individual
care needs. Staff provide residents with assistance for all daily living tasks
including the safe administration of medications 24 hours a day. A close network
of doctors and other allied health professionals ensure that residents receive
appropriate health care any time they require it.
