Gladstone House is a single storey high level aged care facility located approximately 8 minutes walk from Burwood and Strathfield transport and shopping centers

Gladstone House is licensed to accommodate 24 people and is fully accredited and eligible to receive Government funding for those people seeking high level care accommodation

Our philosophy is based on the concept that each person is an individual and has inestimable work in his or her own right and must be accorded the respect due to his or her dignity as a person.

Gladstone House is committed to assist each person to enjoy a healthy, happy, safe and fulfilling experience at our facility.

We are able to achieve this by selecting highly trained experienced professionals with the appropriate qualifications to care for each person.

Gladstone House has a commitment to the continuous education and training for our staff to promote a culture of quality service and care.

Gladstone House is fully accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency, we are eligible to receive Government funding. Gladstone House's excellent accreditation record is a testimony to the company's leadership in the provision of resident care that is tailored to meet each individual person's needs

Gladstone House provides responsive and adaptable care, by ensuring an adequate number of dedicated staff has the knowledge, skills and attitudes to meet the care needs of our people.

Gladstone House has qualified staff working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to support high quality care. 24 hour Registered Nurses implement safe administration of medication and oversee all nursing care to enable nursing duties to be carried out appropriately according to each person's care needs.

Gladstone House has access to doctors who are on call at all times and in addition to this, each person has an allocated General Practitioner who may be the General Practitioner they had prior to admission. This assists with continuity of care.

Gladstone House is committed to providing ongoing support to all visiting General Practitioners.

Gladstone House's key priority is to provide quality care to all people of all nationalities in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

There is a focus at Gladstone House to offer a positive ageing experience to all residents, and Gladstone House's activity programs play a key role to enable each person to enjoy a happy and challenging life.

Gladstone House's Activities Officers pride themselves on the level of activities that are offered to each person throughout the day.

The Activities Officer's primary role is to assist each person in keeping their minds and physical capabilities, as healthy as possible.

Socially, this can be a highlight for individuals who genuinely enjoy the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities with a group of new friends.

Although everyone who resides in Gladstone House is encouraged to participate in the activities which are being conducted, it is an 'opt in' process, so their independence and lifestyle choices are respected at all times. Some of our fantastic activities include - bus outings, card games, walking groups, shopping trips, coffee stops, arts & craft, yoga, men's groups and gardening.

We celebrate calendar events like Australia Day, Anzac day, Mothers Day and Melbourne Cup.

Current affair updates are provided daily.

There are church services, visiting entertainers, concerts, movie sessions, happy hour and footy tipping.

Yes we are a secure environment with a walking path and plants of interest.

Wheelchairs are available to access Burwood shopping centre and Burwood Park which are only a short 8 minutes stroll from Gladstone House.

Fees and Charges are determined by Centrelink and the Department of Health and Ageing and may differ for each person according to their pensioner status and asset status.
